Job Description

About the Role and Company

EC1 Partners has been exclusively retained by a well-established global research and analytics provider to support the hire of a Director of Fixed Income Research. Based in Manhattan, the firm works with top-tier banks, hedge funds, and asset managers, delivering actionable insight into debt markets through a combination of fundamental analysis and quantitative tools.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee macro and micro fixed income research (treasuries, corporate debt)
  • Develop econometric models to support client investment decisions
  • Collaborate with quants and data scientists on predictive tools
  • Present findings to institutional clients and internal stakeholders
  • Represent the firm at key market events and conferences

What You Bring

  • 8+ years in fixed income research at a bank, fund, or data firm
  • Strong analytical background and fluency with Excel, Python, Bloomberg
  • Deep understanding of credit markets, rates, and yield curves
  • Experience leading a research function or team
  • CFA or relevant postgraduate degree preferred
