JOB TITLE : Staff Accountant

LOCATION : Burlington, CT area

  • Onsite (5 days / week)

SALARY : $65,000 to $80,000

  • Back-up for collections and payroll only when team members are out
  • Bonus : the manager (who everyone genuinely loves) is retiring in about six years. This role is designed to grow into a leadership seat.
  • You'll handle core GL work, multi-entity accounting, audit prep, payroll oversight, financial reporting, and a wide range of operational accounting tasks.

    • ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY : Staff Accountant

    This Staff Accountant role is perfect for someone who wants variety, ownership, and a long-term home.

  • Staff Accountant will maintain and update the general ledger across multiple entities
  • Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support month- and year-end close
  • Produce accurate financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, etc.)
  • Support annual audits : prepare schedules, documentation, and reconciliations
  • Serve as backup for payroll and collections as needed
  • Perform bank reconciliations for multiple companies and initiate / approve ACH / wire payments
  • Support CPA with special projects (investment activity, owner draw reconciliations)

  • Staff Accountant will have 2+ years of related experience
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks preferred
