Director Of Business Development

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Business Development to drive growth and client acquisition within the mobility sector. This role involves developing strong relationships with key stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering logistics solutions that add measurable value to our clients.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the mobility sector.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with a target contract value exceeding $25 million.
  • Deliver tailored logistics solutions that drive measurable value for customers.
  • Build multi-level relationships within client organizations through regular in-person meetings and travel.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering insights and support on transportation and supply chain matters.
  • Provide market intelligence and updates to clients to inform strategic decisions.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of the mobility industry or similarly dynamic sectors to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to design and present compelling logistics solutions.
  • Promote time-critical and premium transportation offerings to mid-tier and top-tier clients.

Essential Skills :

  • 7+ years of sales experience with logistics.
  • Experience in time-critical logistics.
  • Proven book of business and strong connections.
  • Emphasis on hunting new business opportunities.
  • Sales management and business management.
  • Customer service expertise.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years in a related field).
  • Proven success in business development within the mobility sector.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in interpreting data, calculating financial metrics, and applying business logic.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms (preferably Ascent's CRM).
  • Work Environment :

  • This role offers a fully remote working environment with the necessity of travel, as it requires regular on-site client visits (25-50% of the time).
  • The position operates during normal business hours and involves a high level of hands-on business development without direct reports.
  • Pay and Benefits :

  • The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00 / yr.
  • Direct hire opportunity, will be able to gather benefit details.
