My Healthy Penguin is expanding our catering operations and looking for a reliable, experienced Catering Cook, Shift Lead to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, excels at batch cooking, and enjoys hands-on work that goes beyond the kitchen.
What You Will Do - You will oversee and participate in :
- Batch Cooking : Prepare high-volume recipes consistently and efficiently according to established standards, and recipe cards.
- Daily Catering Execution : Pack orders, ensure accuracy, and lead in the packaging and loading of catering items.
- Drive & Deliver : Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver meals to client sites on time.
- Set Up On-Site : Professionally set up catering displays in accordance with set up SOPs, maintain presentation standards, and interact with clients as needed.
- Maintain Kitchen Standards : Follow all food safety, sanitation, and quality guidelines.
- Support Team : Work closely with our Head Chef and other kitchen staff to keep operations running smoothly MondayThursday
- Inventory : Able to manage inventory and update available stock lists, understanding of safe storage, FIFO, and food organization practices.
