Why Join Our Float Pool? If you are seeking a night shift role that offers variety, challenge, and growth within a single hospital, this is the opportunity for you! In our Internal Float Pool, you will rotate among ED Boarding, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and ICU support units at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, gaining new experiences and expanding your clinical skills with every shift.

As a responsible member of our healthcare team, you will coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe and therapeutic practices according to established standards. Your role will include assessing patient needs, planning interventions, evaluating care effectiveness, and collaborating with other healthcare members to deliver patient-centered care.

Additionally, you will anticipate and manage changes in patient conditions, implement safety strategies, develop discharge plans, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the patient care experience.

Licenses & Certifications : A valid Registered Nurse license from the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) are required.

Degrees : Completion of an accredited nursing program is required.

Required Functional Experience : Typically requires at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Effective communicative skills, organizational capabilities, problem-solving skills, and ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues are essential. You should demonstrate flexibility, confident decision-making, and the ability to adapt in a busy environment.
