With 118 beds and more than 400 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi Medical Center offers a full range of services for the communities of Central and West O'ahu. The hospital has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West O'ahu's only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, a comprehensive women's center, CT scan and MRI services, and the state's first retina center. Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawai'i that uses a team triage approach in its emergency room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician. The Security team provides security, information, directions, and escort service to patients and staff as needed, while adhering to policies and regulations regarding safety. As Security Officers patrol Pali Momi facilities, they are often the first to meet and greet our clients, which positions the community's experience at our facility in a positive way. The Security team plays a vital role in creating a sense of safety and security throughout our hospitals, which is important to our patients and their families. If you would like to help create a safe and comfortable environment for our patients, staff, and guests at Pali Momi, you could be the right person for this position. Responsibilities include providing protection and security for facility personnel, patients, visitors, and property through security and safety patrols, crisis intervention, investigation into minor crimes and accidents, and serving as a visual deterrent to potential problem situations. You will participate in safety programs and provide support to all departments. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent.
• Current American Heart Association Heart Saver AED CPR card.
• Current Hawaii Security Guard Registration (GDE) License.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six (6) months security experience or experience in a related field.
• Hospital security experience.
• International Association for Healthcare Security and Safely (IAHSS) Basic Health Care Security Officer Training Certificate to be obtained within one (1) year of hire.
• Teamwork Awareness Prevention Course to be attended within one (1) year of hire.
