Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of millwork finishers, delegating tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.

Oversee the application of wood finishes including stain, paint, and lacquer, ensuring consistency and high quality.

Manage finishing material inventory and coordinate with purchasing to maintain appropriate stock levels.

Participate in shop handoff meetings, planning sessions, and scheduling meetings.

Coordinate with Project Managers, Operations, and HR to ensure project alignment and policy compliance.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized finishing area.

Troubleshoot finishing-related issues and implement solutions quickly.

Ensure all manufacturing equipment and tools are properly maintained and functional.

Uphold company safety standards and quality benchmarks at all times.

Qualifications

Proven expertise in wood finishing, including custom color matching and surface preparation.

Minimum 35 years of experience in millwork finishing with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.

Strong project and organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.

High level of integrity, accountability, and leadership.

Physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and working on foot for extended periods (610 hours / day).

Familiarity with shop tools and finishing equipment required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
