Controller

A company is looking for a Controller to lead and scale its finance function across U.S. and Canadian entities.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll

Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and Canadian requirements

Mentor the accounting team and optimize multi-entity finance processes for efficiency and scalability

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a Controller or Senior Finance leadership role

Experience managing full-cycle accounting and reporting for multiple countries, specifically the U.S. and Canada

Strong knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with Canadian GAAP / IFRS is preferred

Proven experience in process improvement and automation within finance functions

Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills for managing teams in high-pressure environments
