The Opportunity
The Accounting Manager, working within the Shared Services Group (SSG), is responsible for leading the accounting and transactional teams within Fox Innovation & Technologies and its affiliated entities. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, GAAP compliance, and strong internal controls while managing all day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, A / P, A / R, payroll, and financial consolidations. The Accounting Manager will also play a key role in building and scaling a shared services center to support all company entities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting activities within the Shared Services Group (SSG), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with best practices and company policies.
- Manage and review general ledger transactions, monthly closing activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate subledger management for A / R, A / P, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Review accruals, recurring entries, and financial reports to ensure integrity and consistency across entities.
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and financial reporting packages.
- Build and oversee a comprehensive accounting and transactional shared services center to support multiple entities (e.g., FIT Inc., FoxRes, FoxComm, STC, AMG).
- Provide centralized accounting services including billing, A / P, A / R, payments, payroll, and cash management.
- Manage tax declaration and compliance services, including franchise tax and other state filings.
- Maintain proper legal registration and compliance for all entities (e.g., certificates of good standing).
- Support the integration of newly acquired companies into the shared services framework.
- Manage daily A / P processing, cash applications, and weekly disbursement processes.
- Supervise credit and collections staff, ensuring timely and accurate A / R activity.
- Oversee reporting and analysis for plant cost centers, capital expenditures, inventory, and job costing.
- Support the Controller in the annual audit process, including coordination of physical inventory counts.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and generate key performance indicators (KPIs) for shared services performance.
- Maintain and enhance internal control processes under the supervision of the Controller.
- Ensure proper documentation, procedures, and policies are in place to support compliance and operational consistency.
- Assist in the implementation of SOX 404 requirements and related controls.
- Maintain a strong understanding of state sales / use tax requirements and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.CPA certification preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.Experience managing accounting operations in a multi-entity, manufacturing, or shared services environment strongly preferred.Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP / accounting systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.Proven leadership and team development skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Self-starter with the ability to develop creative, practical solutions independently.Equal Employment Opportunity
