Job Summary :
This role is responsible for analyzing, planning, and improving distribution and inventory control processes through automated systems that support DC Operations. The position requires a strong understanding of inventory control, manufacturing workflows, and system-driven business processes, along with the ability to collaborate across DC Operations, Finance, Information Systems, and senior leadership. Key responsibilities include developing functional requirements, supporting system design and testing, improving inventory accuracy, documenting processes, training users, and monitoring post-implementation results. The role emphasizes continuous process improvement, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting AdvoCare, A93 Nutrition Labs, and offsite vendors in compliance with company safety policies.
General Duties :
- Responsible for the planning and analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems as they are directly related to distribution functions
- Develops an intimate understanding of all Inventory Control Associates’ responsibilities, duties, and reports
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with various chain-of-command levels within the corporate organization; to include, but not limited to senior-levels, DC Operations leaders, various Finance personnel, Information Systems personnel.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of cycle counting procedures and reporting and ability to fully understand business processes
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to identify problems, recommending sound solutions, and has the capability to implement and measure approved recommended solutions
- Demonstrated working knowledge of general manufacturing; to include, but not limited to, work order processing, bill-of-material (BOM), work-in-process (WIP)
- Ensures that accurate inventory results are communicated to the appropriate corporate levels and in a timely manner
- Works to continuously improve business processes within DC Operations and Inventory Control
- Demonstrated ability to effectively articulate, both written and verbal, external functional specifications / requirements to drive approved system changes
- Consults and coordinates with systems analysts and programmers to design and develop automated business systems (external)
- Develops, coordinates and implements plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing and ensures that business requirements have been met
- Consults with leadership team to obtain additional information during system development and evaluate alternatives
- Tracks and documents changes to functional and business specifications (business process level)
- Creates and / or assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to train users on procedures and processes.
- Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests.
- Prepares time and cost estimates for completing projects and demonstrated ability to measure project success
- Must follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Follow instructions and procedures given by their management to support A93 Nutrition Labs as needed.
