This position will be working out of our Rone Engineering division in Lenexa, KS.

POSITION OVERVIEW :

Certerra is seeking a full-time Geotechnical Engineer to join our Lenexa, KS team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

As a Geotechnical Engineer at Certerra, you will be responsible for managing small projects as well as managing discrete tasks within larger projects. In this role, you will be expected to :

• Scoping geotechnical investigations and preparing draft proposals and cost estimates;
• Managing and conducting field investigations; reviewing samples / core; ordering laboratory tests and preparing / reviewing / editing boring logs for investigations of any scale;
• Working directly with and managing sub-consultants;
• Performing and / or supervising engineering analyses;
• Preparing geotechnical investigation and geologic hazard reports;
• Reviewing plans and specifications for conformance with the intent of RMA’s geotechnical recommendations;
• Assisting in the managing, training, mentoring and supervision of staff-level engineers;
• Managing construction-phase services for projects; and conducting onsite construction observation for engineering-related activities, if needed.
