Job description of DB Administrator / IT Analyst

An individual skilled in business system applications, processes, and workflow in supporting a dynamic business and environment.

The individual needs to possess the following technical skills :

Operational System / Application Administration :

  • Experience with Softrax or other subscription management application
  • System security, including identity access management
  • Application upgrades and enhancements
  • System configuration / customization
  • Troubleshooting issues
  • Responding to incidents and requests

System Interfaces :

  • SQL Server Integration Services package creation and deployment
  • SQL Interface Scripts

    • SQL Server Database Expertise :

  • Database Administration
  • Database Security
  • Writing Queries (complex joins) and creating Database views
  • Writing Stored Procedures
  • Database updates – one-off updates as well as mass inserts / updates
  • Scheduling SQL Jobs

    • Preferred Qualifications / Skills :

  • Project management
  • Good interpersonal, coordination, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of basic business concepts.
  • Familiar with compliance standards, such as SOX, healthcare, operational, regulatory, etc.
  • Good systems analysis and / or programming skills.
  • Knowledge of MS applications – Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Outlook
