About the Company : Our client is a thriving east coast-based Digital Marketing Agency known for delivering innovative, data-driven solutions across a wide range of industries. With a strong focus on performance marketing and client success, they are expanding their leadership team to include a Director of Paid Social. The Director, Paid Social will lead the strategic direction, methodology, and growth of the Paid Social department. This role is responsible for driving innovation, ensuring profitability, and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a strategic, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can align paid social strategies with broader business goals.
We are seeking a strong agency player who :
- has managed a larger team – think 8+ direct reports.
- has managed a large number of client volumes; there are about 200 your team will be overseeing.
- is responsible for the big picture but can still roll up their sleeves to optimize a campaign for a client or fill in when one of their team is out.
- has hands‑on keyboard skills in Meta Business and Ads.
- thinks about new client partnerships and is in the room for pitches to benefit the greater whole of the agency.
Key Responsibilities
Department Leadership : Cultivate a high-performing team culture through mentorship, coaching, and strategic guidance.Strategic Oversight : Define and evolve paid social strategies to meet client objectives and agency growth targets.Client Success : Oversee complex accounts, ensuring exceptional service and results across e-commerce and B2B verticals.Operational Excellence : Implement quality assurance processes and drive efficiency across campaigns and teams.Revenue Ownership : Manage net revenue retention and contribute to department profitability.Budgeting & Forecasting : Lead financial planning for the department, including forecasting and budget management.Hands‑On Execution : Willingness to dive into accounts when needed to support team and client outcomes.Qualifications
10+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong emphasis on paid social.5+ years of experience managing teams or departments (ideally 8+ direct reports).Proven success in developing high-performing teams and implementing performance management frameworks.Deep expertise in platforms such as Meta, , TikTok, Reddit, and Snapchat.Proficiency in GA4 and advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau).Strong strategic thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.Experience managing complex, multi‑team campaigns and projects.Direct experience in both e-commerce and B2B paid social strategies.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and / or proprietary information or data.
