Location : Huntley, IL

School Setting : Elementary School (K–5th Grade)

Schedule : Full-Time, 35 hours / week

Duration : February – April 2026

Hours : 8 : 10 AM – 3 : 45 PM

Compensation : $45–$55 per hour

Certification Required : Professional Educator License (PEL)

About the Role

An elementary school in Huntley, IL, is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Full-Time School Social Worker to provide FMLA coverage from February through April 2026. This on-site role supports general education and specialized programming within a collaborative and well-staffed student services team. You will join a building with two additional social workers, allowing grade-level and program responsibilities to be shared. All social workers support the Autism classrooms, and each also covers designated grade levels. The exact grade-level assignment for this leave coverage will be confirmed soon.

Responsibilities

Provide social-emotional and behavioral support to students in assigned grade levels (K–5th).

Support Autism classrooms through consultation, direct services, and collaboration with staff.

Conduct assessments, develop student support plans, and participate in IEP meetings as needed.

Offer individual and small-group counseling to address a variety of social-emotional needs.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to promote positive student outcomes.

Maintain documentation, case notes, and compliance with school, district, and state guidelines.

Serve as a resource and advocate for students and families, connecting them with appropriate community services.

Position Details

Caseload : Mixed severity; supports Autism programming and specific grade levels.

Workspace : Dedicated office provided.

Reason for Opening : Coverage for an employee on FMLA leave.
