Full Time Hospice Aide for South Region

Sprenger Hospice is looking for compassionate individuals that enjoy working with senior adults. As a STNA for Sprenger Hospice you will be responsible for providing basic patient care to promote patient comfort and support under the direction of a registered nurse.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide basic personal care needs according to the patient care plan and under the direction of an RN
• Documenting all duties in a timely manner
• Attending required in services
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• You must have at least 1 year experience with direct patient care in home health, hospice, hospitals, and/or a long-term care facility.
• Licensed by the state of Ohio; STNA must be in good standing
• Valid driver's license along with reliable transportation
• Must be willing to travel between homes and facilities
• Must be able to work independently
• Clear criminal background check
• Demonstrates interest and empathy for the terminally ill and is comfortable with issues of death and dying
• Possess strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with patients, families and colleagues

Qualifications:

• STNA (Required)
• Hospice or Home Health Agency experience preferred
• Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and their families, as well as all interdisciplinary caregivers, peers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Must exhibit or demonstrate the ability to learn computer skills related to electronic clinical record documentation.
• Must have reliable vehicle/transportation, valid drivers license and the required automobile insurance
