Critical Care / ICU Nurse Practitioner

Contract Length : 3 months, ongoing

Schedule : PRN 1-3 nights per month, Nights, 6p-6a

Practice Setting : Acute Care Hospital- Intensivists and fellows will be available by phone to assist with management but APP will be a solo provider on night shift and should be comfortable to work autonomously.

Patient Volume : 12 bed unit- not always at capacity. Provider would be responsible for all patients in unit while on night shift.

Patient Population : Variable, but no Peds or OB patients

Support Staff : Backup support from academic intensivist and academic pulmonary critical care fellows. Procedural backup from ER

Cases / Procedures : See all new admissions to the ICU, round on and manage current ICU patients and perform critical care procedures. Respond and assist with code blue management. Must have experience with central line and arterial line. Intubation experience strongly preferred. Vent management, lines, and codes.
