General Overview

At Sip & Guzzle, we are looking for hospitality professionals to play a vital role in shaping the guest experience and contributing to our team culture. In this role, we expect team members to uphold Sip & Guzzle’s service standards while curating a warm, engaging, and memorable experience for every guest. This role enters the service team through a server assistant / food runner position, with clear opportunities for growth based on performance. Servers should be knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, and energetic, all while upholding our company’s commitment to excellence in service. The role requires speed, awareness, and ownership of the kitchen-to-floor handoff, while actively contributing to the guest experience.

Qualifications

• Passion to provide exceptional guest service and attention to detail
• Personable, charming, and well spoken
• Warm and welcoming to both guests and staff
• Ability to cater to guest’s needs in fine dining or casual dining format
• Able to work as a team player
• Ability to multitask; and work with a sense of urgency while maintaining professionalism and and high hospitality standard
• Must have good supervisory skills and able to delegate when appropriate
• Must have good communication skills and full understanding of menu to promote sales
• Must have strong food and beverage knowledge and well versed in Asian cuisine is a plus but not required
• Need to be familiar with POS operations
• Successfully adhere to Steps of Service
• Availability to work on evenings and weekends

Physical Demands

The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
