Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least one year of recent PACU experience.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital environment
  • Day shift, 10-hour shifts, four days per week
  • Epic is used for charting
  • May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
  • May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts
  • Duties include independent nursing care, monitoring and assessment of post-anesthesia patients, health counseling, and coordination of care
  • Must document care according to hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • May be required to perform health teaching and supervise others
  • Former staff must have at least a one-year separation from any Intermountain facility to be considered
  • Strict timelines are enforced for background screening and drug screening completion

    • Requirements

  • Active CO or compact RN license is required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of one year of recent PACU experience required
  • Associate degree in nursing (ASN) from an accredited school is required
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Current ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification as appropriate for the unit may be required
  • Epic EMR experience is preferred
