Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Full Time

Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth. Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds and we are a full service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical / surgical units, outpatient care, and 24 / 7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units, cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.

Position Summary

COTA Center for Behavioral Medicine- FT 40 Hours Days

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), under the direct supervision of the OTR / L, assists with the occupational therapy, evaluation, and treatment of patients in individual and group settings. The COTA will also assist with the daily therapeutic responsibilities of the Behavioral Health Program. Prior experience in Behavioral Health setting is preferred.

Essential Functions

• Facilitates therapeutic group programming under the supervision of the OTR / L.
• Adheres to the current schedule using performance metrics to guide documentation
• Modifies activities as needed for patients during group sessions
• Provides 1-1 treatments / interventions as necessary for patients unable to attend group sessions
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Establishes and maintains effective therapeutic and working relationships
• Receives continuing education required for job function
• Completes work assignments within an acceptable time frame.
• Uses time and resources to the best possible advantage for successful completion of job responsibilities.
