The core responsibilities include : - Performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to generate quality images for physicians. - Operating specialized cameras to detect and map radioactive drugs. Handling radiopharmaceuticals (ordering, preparing, administering, disposing) according to safety protocols. - Ensuring image quality and prompt submission to PACS. - Maintaining a clean department and reporting equipment malfunctions. Must be highly experienced and capable of operating independently, as the role is the sole technologist on shift. Required experience with Siemens Symbia equipment is essential. The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision, while strictly following radiation safety guidelines and Standard Precautions. Required credentials include BLS Provider, a Radiologic Technologist credential (Texas Medical RT Certification Program), and a specialization in Nuclear Medicine from either NMTCB or ARRT.
