Job Summary :
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control within an aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with stringent industry standards and customer requirements, manages quality systems, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to maintain product integrity and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in accordance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
- Lead internal and external audits, including those from regulatory bodies and defense contractors.
- Manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians to ensure consistent product quality and process control.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances and customer complaints.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the product lifecycle.
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with defense and aerospace regulations (e.g., ITAR, DFARS, FAA, DoD standards).
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CQE, CQA, ASQ) preferred.7+ years of experience in quality management within aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.Deep understanding of aerospace quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Experience with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D, Six Sigma).
