About the role
Our Corporate Finance & Strategy team serves as a strategic partner to Anthropic’s leadership, driving data-informed decisions that shape the company’s future. We are seeking a professional for our Corporate Finance team to support Anthropic's financial planning and reporting capabilities. In this role, you will partner across the Finance team to deliver a unified financial narrative for leadership, investors, and the Board. You will develop a holistic view of how the business operates—from revenue and costs to capital allocation and strategic investments—and synthesize it into the story that drives company decisions. This role offers an opportunity to build foundational financial reporting and forecasting processes at Anthropic, using Claude to define workflows when AI is a core part of the toolkit.
Responsibilities
Support annual planning, quarterly and month-end close activities, including variance analysis
Participate in monthly and quarterly revenue reviews with senior leadership, providing insights on performance against plan, key drivers of variance, and forward-looking trends
Work closely with Accounting and Investor Relations to prepare materials for board meetings, investor updates, and external communications
Ensure consistency and accuracy across all external and internal financial messaging
Identify process improvement opportunities and drive initiatives to enhance financial planning capabilities and operational rigor
You may be a good fit if you :
Have 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or FP&A roles, preferably at high-growth technology companies
Possess exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, with demonstrated ability to build complex models and forecasts from scratch
Are highly proficient in Excel / Google Sheets, with expertise in modern financial planning tools (e.g., Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive)
Have strong business acumen and can quickly develop deep understanding of business drivers
Demonstrate excellent communication and storytelling abilities
Thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can navigate ambiguity with confidence
Possess strong collaboration skills and can build effective partnerships across functions and levels
Are passionate about Anthropic's mission to build safe, beneficial AI systems
Compensation
The expected base compensation for this position is below. Our total compensation package for full-time employees includes equity, benefits, and may include incentive compensation.
$190,000 - $235,000 USD
Logistics
Education requirements :
We require at least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Location-based hybrid policy :
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship :
We sponsor visas. If we make you an offer, we will make reasonable efforts to obtain a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
