Senior Data Engineer (Java + Python)

CANDIDATES NEED TO HAVE RECENT PROJECTS IN THE NY / NJ AREA AND A VALID ID IN NY / NJ.

Required Location : Midtown New York City 5 days a week.

Senior (12+ years) Java Developers with recent extensive experience working with Python and large Data sets. You are responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining critical data pipelines and architectures across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. You will apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle. Candidates need to have recent experience working in Capital Markets, Financial services or very Large Banks.

As a Data Engineer / DEVELOPER within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Data Platforms team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining critical data pipelines and architectures across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. You will apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Job Responsibilities

• Supports review of controls to ensure sufficient protection of enterprise data
• Advises and makes custom configuration changes in one to two tools to generate a product at the business or customer request
• Updates logical or physical data models based on new use cases
• Innovate new ways of managing, transforming and validating data
• Apply quality assurance best practices to all work products
• Frequently uses SQL and understands NoSQL databases and their niche in the marketplace
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
