Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To :
- ? Assist Head Athletic Trainer in athletic injury prevention, evaluation, and
rehabilitation.
? Provide coverage for athletic contests, practice sessions, and AthleticTraining room as assigned.
? Manage return to learn and return to play concussion program.? Provide athletic training services for the school's athletic department,including attendance at scheduled team practices and home
competitions as determined by the Head Athletic Trainer / Director of
Athletics (including some nights / weekends).
? Assist the Head Athletic Trainer with the day-to-day operation of thesports medical / training program.
? Act under the direct supervision of the School Physician(s) as well asconsulting physicians and other health care professionals as
appropriate.
? Maintain accurate and detailed records of all athletic-related injuries,and subsequent treatments.
? Communicate with parents of student athletes, nurses, coaches, andother related staff in regard to a student athlete's injury status,
accommodations, treatment protocol, appointment schedule, and
playing status when appropriate.
Requirements
? Minimum of Bachelor's degree in athletic training? National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certification(NATABOC) Certified Athletic Trainer
? Current or eligible state of MA License in Athletic Training? Current CPR / AED and First Aid Certification in accordance withNATA-BOC requirements
? Proficient with computerized word processing and injury managementsoftware applications.
? Experience in a high school setting is preferred.Physical Demands and Working Conditions
? Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions.? Must be able to assist with or transfer athletes of variousweights / heights.
? Must be able to load and unload athletic equipment on and off of golfcart and bed of pickup truck.
? Must be able to stand for long periods of time, have good mobility skills,and be able to walk long distances.
? Must be able to carry training kits and coolers for long distances.? Must demonstrate an ability to communicate, give adequate directions,and give clear instructions to students and parents.
? Must be able to work with a dynamic and demanding schedule.
