Job Description

As a Deburring Technician, you will be responsible for removing sharp edges, burrs, and other imperfections from metal aircraft components. This role requires a hands-on approach, a keen eye for detail, and the use of various tools and equipment to ensure the highest quality of finished products.

Responsibilities

Use hand tools and small power tools, such as deburr guns and small grinders, to smooth part edges.

Work with larger parts like skins and spars using air-powered die grinders.

Follow customer specifications, such as those from large manufacturers, when finishing parts.

Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to determine finishing requirements.

Perform quality inspections to ensure that parts meet specified dimensions and finish.

Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork for completed jobs.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in deburring, sheet metal work, and grinding.

Experience in production, general labor, assembly, finishing, sanding, and polishing.

Ability to use machine shop tools, hand tools, and power tools effectively.

Strong attention to detail and precision in work.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Experience in the aerospace industry is an advantage.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Tool proficiency, including experience with basic hand and power tools.

Work Environment

This is a Contract position based out of Salem, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 / hr.
