Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in innovative plastic solutions, is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Manager to join their team in Oxnard, CA. This leadership role is responsible for managing the maintenance department, overseeing facility operations, and ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, ensuring efficient scheduling and optimal performance.
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance and repairs of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and promote lean manufacturing and 5S practices.
- Act as the technical resource for engineering solutions, equipment improvements, and emergency repairs.
- Manage department budgets, including parts, services, and capital expenditures.
- Coordinate contractor work for production and facility equipment repairs.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, environmental regulations, and process hazard analyses (PHA).
- Optimize the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track metrics, improve PM compliance, and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production and operational efficiency.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all facility operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing maintenance teams and at least 10 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Experience with predictive maintenance systems, lean manufacturing, and equipment reliability programs preferred.
Pay & Schedule:
- Salary Range: $90,000 – $130,000 annually (based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday–Saturday, First Shift
