Holmes Lumber (a division of Carter Lumber) Commercial Doors & Hardware Estimator / Sales Specialists perform material take-offs and estimating specifically for commercial doors and hardware applications. A typical estimate involves reading Plans and Specifications with the assistance of estimating software to measure and calculate the materials for Holmes Lumber’s Outside Sales Representatives to price. Experience with commercial doors and hardware is essential to understanding the products and their application in building projects.
Requirements :
- 2+ years experience in commercial door and hardware sales or estimating
- Strong knowledge of commercial doors and hardware products and their application
- Skilled in reading commercial blueprints and specifications
- Comfortable talking with other estimators, builders, and salesmen
- Must be a self-starter, organized, and comfortable working within strict deadlines
- Competency in basic mathematics and geometry
- Comfortable with computers and receptive to learning new software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word, and Outlook (email and calendar)

Perform material take-offs for commercial door and hardware designs in a timely mannerReview construction documents and understand material to bidReview and fix potential inaccuracies in material listsField Support
