Quality Assurance Manager

gpac is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee one of our client’s facilities south of Madison. This is a full-time, onsite role for someone who enjoys managing from the floor, not just the office, and has a passion for mentoring personnel.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and implement QA policies, procedures, and compliance programs.

Oversee Quality Control Technicians; provide training and mentorship.

Participate in customer and SQF audits.

Review test results, pre-shipment checks, CCPs, GMPs, HACCP, and SSOPs.

Direct inspection and sampling activities to ensure quality standards.

Partner with Plant and Sanitation Managers on facility upkeep.

Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues effectively.

Qualifications :

3+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing QA.

Strong knowledge of HACCP, SSOP, SOP, USDA & FDA standards.

Experience with audits, quality control processes, and food safety programs.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Familiarity with organic, Kosher, Halal, PCQI certification, and inventory systems (DSI a plus).

Food science background preferred.
