MIG Welder/Painter

Snelling has an immediate opening for a MIG Welder / Powder Coat Associate in Louisville, KY. This position will primarily be responsible for MIG welding parts and components in a manufacturing environment. Candidates must have prior MIG welding experience. Powder coating duties will be trained on-site and are part of the role once welding responsibilities are met.

The MIG Welder should be able to work independently, read basic work instructions, and demonstrate a proactive, safety-focused, and problem-solving attitude. Job duties include:

• Perform MIG welding on metal parts and components to meet quality and production standards
• Read and follow welding specifications, blueprints, and work instructions
• Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and quality
• Grind, clean, and prep parts before and after welding
• Assist with powder coating operations after training, including hanging and removing parts from the paint line
• Apply powder coat paint using an electrostatic spray gun (training provided)
• Clean, maintain, and prepare powder coat booth and equipment
• Remove media from components after shot blast process
• Perform required assemblies on product before unload and removal from area

MIG Welder Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior MIG welding experience required (1+ years preferred)
• Willingness to learn powder coating processes (training provided)
• Must be able to lift 45 lbs. consistently
• Ability to work overtime as needed
