[job_card.job_description]Initiate and oversee the comprehensive development process for new materials. Collaborate closely with design partners, translating creative visions into tangible, high-performance materials. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring the highest standards of material quality, innovation, and performance. Apply deep technical expertise to understand how materials integrate into garments and products, advising on construction and application. Manage the product testing process for all new materials, ensuring they meet rigorous performance and durability standards. Foster robust cross-functional relationships with various internal teams, facilitating seamless project execution. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a materials development role. Strong background in textile development, with proven experience creating fabrics for various applications, including outerwear and bodywear. Demonstrated experience in trim development, encompassing components such as zippers, elastics, and patches. Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency with industry-standard development tools and platforms. A positive attitude and ability to thrive in a very fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Comfort and adaptability when working with ambiguity, able to navigate evolving project requirements. Strong self-awareness and a high degree of professionalism in all interactions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork across diverse groups. PMP certification or another certification demonstrating expertise in managing complex projects is a nice-to-have. Experience in developing performance-focused materials, including those for specialized applications like swim, is a nice-to-have. Previous experience working with a leading global athletic or lifestyle brand is a nice-to-have.
