Senior Structural Engineer
Location : Remote Oregon preferred; candidates in other West Coast states (WA CA) will also be considered
Compensation : $140000$160000 annually depending on experience and qualifications
Work Environment : Remote with limited travel for site visits and client meetings
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our expanding team. This is a leadership-level role focused on delivering complex structural engineering solutions while mentoring junior staff and maintaining strong client relationships.
Youll work across a wide range of heavy industrial and infrastructure projects supporting everything from small retrofits to large-scale greenfield developments. The ideal candidate has a deep foundation in structural engineering enjoys collaborating in a multi-discipline environment and is confident in front of clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Design
- Lead structural design for foundations (shallow mat and deep) supporting pumps vessels buildings and pipe racks
- Design steel structures including towers pipe bridges platforms and multistory buildings
- Support marine infrastructure such as piers walkways bulkheads and dolphins
- Deliver structural designs for occupied and non-occupied buildings (both prefabricated and stick-built)
- Conduct structural evaluations retrofits inspections and construction support
Leadership & Mentorship
Mentor junior engineers fostering both technical and soft skill developmentManage structural scope on single- and multi-discipline projectsProvide quality oversight and technical leadership across projectsContribute to team development and knowledge sharingClient Engagement & Strategic Support
Develop scopes of work budgets and resource plansRepresent the company in client-facing meetings and project reviewsSupport early-phase engineering feasibility studies and permitting effortsHelp identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposal effortsWho Were Looking For
Required Qualifications :
PE and SE licenses20 years of structural engineering experience including leadership rolesProven experience in heavy industrial and / or renewable energy sectorsStrong knowledge of design codes standards and best practicesSkilled in leading projects from concept through constructionExcellent written and verbal communication skills with client-facing experiencePreferred Qualifications :
Experience in marine or bridge designFamiliarity with permitting processes and early-stage project developmentLocated in Oregon or open to relocation (relocation assistance available)Compensation & Benefits
