Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students in 2nd and 3rd grades during the 2025-2026 school year. This position is based at an elementary school in Portland, Tennessee, and operates on a contract basis for the plete school year. The role requires in-person classroom engagement, providing essential support to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Qualifications and Experience :

  • Valid certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in 2nd and 3rd grades
  • Strong munication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Patience, adaptability, and a passion for fostering inclusive learning environments

Location : Portland, Tennessee (Elementary School)

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with disabilities
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure integrated learning experiences
  • Maintain accurate records of student development and municate regularly with families
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide activities during scheduled hours (7 : 45 am 3 : 15 pm)
