Certified Coder - Outpatient Surgery

A company is looking for a Sr. Coder Abstractor - Outpatient Surgery.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately codes and abstracts outpatient medical records, meeting productivity standards

Assigns ICD10-CM diagnosis and CPT-4 procedure codes according to established guidelines

Maintains an organized system for coding reference materials and participates in educational activities

Required Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information is required

Certification as a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) is required

Two years of previous coding experience using ICD10-CM and CPT-4 coding systems

CCS certification and two years of coding experience will be considered
