Job Title : Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract

Location : Flowood, Mississippi 39232

Contract Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Start Date : January 5, 2026

End Date : March 2, 2026

Assignment Duration : 8 weeks

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), alternating weekends

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1470 - $1570

Healthcare Setting : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) Unit

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered RN license (Registered Nurse) – Mississippi or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the Flowood facility (per travel nurse guidelines)

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical patients

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress in the Cerner EMR system

Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and post-hospital care

Float to other nursing units as needed to support overall patient care
