Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Kent, Washington

A specialized opportunity is available for experienced Cath Lab Technologists skilled in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. This contract position is based in Kent, WA, offering a dynamic environment within a busy cardiac catheterization unit equipped with three cath labs and a hybrid OR. Candidates with a minimum of two years of relevant experience are invited to apply.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Required: Experience in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab settings
• Proficient in Cardiac Cath Lab procedures including stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations for adults, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterizations, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), PTCA, Rotablader atherectomy, temporary pacemaker, ventricular assist device insertion
• Preferred: Familiarity with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), PA line insertion, TAVI/TAVR, Watchman device procedures
• Competent with fluoroscopy equipment, specifically Siemens systems
• Able to perform critical procedural responsibilities such as equipment setup, EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, monitoring of arrhythmias, and vascular closure system usage (Perclose, StarClose)
• Knowledgeable in Isolation Precautions and utilization of Rapid Response teams is advantageous
• Comfortable with on-call duties and a required response time of 30 minutes
• Must have experience with Pyxis medication systems and electronic documentation using EPIC and McKesson platforms, applying SBAR communication techniques

Responsibilities and Work Schedule:

• Work as a key team member in catheterization procedures, supporting accurate monitoring and patient safety within a procedural setting
• Day shift schedule: Three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call rotation including six evenings and one weekend per six weeks with standby responsibilities
