Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Raleigh, NC. Relocation assistance within the US is available.

Responsibilities will include implementing Lean Manufacturing concepts, including Value Stream Map evaluation of current state production opportunities and the implementation of future state throughout all areas of operations.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $83,250 - $122,100 a year.

What you'll do:

\n
• Deploy Lean Tools as appropriate
\n
• Evaluate current and future state manufacturing processes and ensures that sound engineering and manufacturing principles are being followed
\n
• Prioritize safety and repeatability of existing processes, addressing identified concerns
\n
• Recommends changes to existing manufacturing processes to improve manufacturing productivity and improve lean flow of materials
\n
• Document manufacturing processes with work instructions
\n
• Generate and implement Engineering Change Notices enhancing product quality and reducing product cost
\n
• Initiate, develop and manage capital improvement projects including manufacturing equipment, facility enhancements and new product start-ups
\n
• Drive continuous improvement on the shop floor, including opportunities to improve Quality, Productivity, and cost reduction
\n
• Manage and complete multiple projects on schedule with minimal supervision
\n
• Support multiple product lines and a wide variety of assembly processes
\n
• Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton's goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork
\n
• Drive NPI activities in assigned work cells (layouts, materials, costing)
\n
• Support distribution centers, warehousing, repair and logistics between multiple sites with minimal supervision
\n

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

\n
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited educational institution
\n
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in engineering or manufacturing engineering
\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n
• Engineering Degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited educational institution
\n
• Experience with MRP systems (SAP)
\n
• Experience with Microsoft Project
\n
• Lean/Six Sigma/CI Certifications
\n
• Electrical Industry Experience
\n
• AutoCAD system experience
\n

Position Success Criteria:

• Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes including assembly and pull systems.
\n
• Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology.
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
\n
