The Project Architect is responsible for project deliverables, the technical content of documents, the implementation of comments, QA reviews, and the coordination of disciplines, including consultants. The Project Architect directs the work assignments of a diverse project team as well as coordinates with clients, consultants, and contractors. The Project Architect reports to the Project Director. / ppResponsibilities / pulliEnsures the overall design intent of the project established by the Project Designer is incorporated into the detailed project documentation / liliMonitors the design process from the conceptual phase through construction administration, and validates that the design idea is consistent and properly executed / liliResponsible for the technical resolution and coordination of a defined portion of a project or projects, including the coordination of drawings and specifications / liliChecks completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations for accuracy / liliCoordinates use and tracks shared electronic documentation and files with the project team, clients, and consultants / liliWrites reports and documentation to consultants and vendors to issue changes and track resolutions / liliPrepares meeting minutes of consultant coordination meetings / liliManages project documents and identifies the sheets planned for each stage of the work, including defining how data will be organized into files and which elements will be incorporated in a Building Information Model (BIM) / liliManages standards / liliFosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team / liliCoordinates communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements, providing support when necessary / liliManages construction detail documentation so that it conforms to quality assurance, quality control, and best practice standards / liliSupervises the preparation of technical drawings by other less senior-level architects or team members / liliPrepares meeting minutes / liliPerforms as team leader on certain projects / liliMentors and directs the work of team members, reviews their work, and provides development opportunities / liliIncorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects / liliFosters a green workplace through sustainable work practices / li / ulpQualifications / pulliBachelors degree in Architecture / liliProfessional license required / liliEnvironmental accreditation preferred / lili10+ years of experience designing small to mid-size architectural projects, including urban and resort hotels / liliProficiency in technical skills, including AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D modeling software, such as Rhino and SketchUp / liliSketching skills required / liliKnowledge of architectural building systems, integrated design, trends, construction methodology, QA / QC process, CA process, building codes, and the ability to research and apply to technical documents / liliExperienced in client management, project management, and negotiations / liliAbility to work in a team environment and supervise others / liliAbility to effectively meet deadlines / liliHighly effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills / li / ulp
