Salary : $24.00 - $30.00
Position Summary : Via Credit Union is seeking an Insurance Agent working Tuesday - Saturday (noon). Scheduled hours are 8 : 15 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m., Friday 8 : 15 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m., and Saturday 8 : 15 a.m. - noon, unless otherwise specified. The insurance agent serves as a consultant to members, non-members and staff. Services may include an analysis of current insurance products owned, needs analysis, and the development of an insurance strategy designed to meet those needs.
Employment Requirements : As a financial institution, Via Credit Union requires its employees to successfully pass a comprehensive background check and be in good financial standing as a condition of employment and to remain in such standing. Good financial standing means that the employee is current on all payments due to Via Credit Union or any other creditors and is in compliance with all applicable laws relating to financial crimes.

Essential Functions :
Become familiar with and maintain up to date knowledge of all products and services offered through the credit union and cross-sell as the opportunity arises.Collect and analyze data collected from clients to develop an insurance strategy that meets the clients specifications.Contact referrals in a timely manner to make them aware of the products and services offered through the credit union and cross-sell as the opportunity arises.Develop and present educational seminars / workshops on topics of interest to members.See that the following occurs :Records of all sales, transactions, and pertinent conversations are kept
Keep sales literature stocked and currentCompile monthly activity and sales reports, as well as quarterly and annual production reports for CUSO boardMaintain member filesTrack employee referrals monthlyEnsure that the CUSO is in compliance with Privacy Policy rules, Anti-Money Laundering rules, and Insurance Advertising rules.Maintain an up to date sales log.In December of each year, assist CFO in making sales projections and developing insurance department budget for the coming year .Assist in the development of a marketing plan for insurance products and services offered through the CUSO.Complete continuing education to maintain licenses.Remain informed about emerging insurance changes and regulations.Contribute to the overall vision of the credit union.Promote and exemplify our commitment to clients through great service.Call on all resources available when trying to resolve a problem or issue with a client.Ability to organize, prioritize, and work independentlyInterface with other departments as needed.Position Expectations :

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience : 3-5 years in the insurance sales field
Computer Skills : Microsoft Office Suite
Certifications & Licenses :
Must possess and maintain Indiana Property and Casualty Insurance, Life, and Health licenses.Long Term Care license, preferred.Possess a valid drivers licenseMust be insurableMust have reliable transportationBenefits Summary :
