This  contract to hire role as a Database Specialist in Richardson, TX is responsible for installing, deploying and configuring Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance and related technologies.

Pay Rate : $84.27 - $87.27 per hour

Responsibilities :

• Install, deploy and configure Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and related technologies
• Provide recommendations to application team on which database use for the production use cases
• Work with automation engineers and provide database options to setup infrastructure as code for provisioning
• Setup standards for setting up databases in azure along with networking best practices
• Establish good security practices and standards associated with it
• Support production Database Administrators to understand the Azure PaaS options and setup using best practices
• Disaster Recovery setup
• Understand Azure platform well to know the different options for database setup
• Assist with automation and infrastructure as code efforts with the team as database Subject Matter Expert
