Candidates must have a passion for medicine and healthcare, helping people obtain the services they need and making sure patients feel comfortable when seeing a doctor. We have providers who are excited to employ people who are seeking future careers in medicine whether that be Health Care Administration, Nursing, PA or NP degrees, Medical School, etc. This vital role greets our patients, displays professionalism, and maintains confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare for visit by pulling diagnostic reports (labs, x-rays)
2. Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures
3. Process all the paperwork in the Provider's outbox.
4. Assessing patient condition for the provider
5. Administering injections
6. Assisting with out-patient procedures
7. Follow up with patient regarding lab results.
8. Call patients to schedule follow-up appointments as directed by the Provider
9. Clean and sanitize patient rooms between appointments
10. Clean, Wash, and sterilize equipment per autoclave process
11. Collect urine samples and perform routine tests directed by the Provider; prepare other specimens for testing or lab pickup
12. Send medication refills as directed by the Provider
13. Stock assigned patient rooms daily and as needed to maintain proper inventory
14. Specimen collections and processing
15. Perform Biohazard maintenance (check all sharps containers and biohazard trash cans.)
16. Coordinate referral of services to and from other Health Care Providers
17. Performs vital signs accurately including BMI for >2 years old. If there are red readings, repeat for accuracy, especially the Blood Pressure. If necessary, use the right size cuff for manual reading.
18. Acting as the liaison between a provider and his/her patients and another medical office
19. Answer phone calls and e-mails, returning messages within 24 hours

Occasionally, due to staffing needs, you must be willing to travel to any of these sites: (Sacramento, Folsom, Elk Grove, Rocklin or Vacaville).
