A mid-sized commercial General Contractor is seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts across diverse project types. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings precision, strategy, and leadership to every estimate.

Senior Estimator Key Responsibilities

  • Lead estimates for commercial construction projects ranging from $500K to $5M
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and self-performed scopes (e.g., carpentry, drywall)
  • Manage hard bid, negotiated, and design / build proposals
  • Generate schematic estimates and support value engineering initiatives
  • Analyze subcontractor scopes, conduct buyouts, and present to stakeholders
  • Partner cross-functionally to align estimating with project delivery goals

    • Senior Estimator Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering
  • 10+ years of post-degree experience in estimating for commercial GCs
  • Proficiency in estimating software and AI-enhanced tools
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical abilities
