Expertise in Python (primary language) and proficiency in multiple programming languages for backend development. Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and working with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS experience highly valued). Familiarity with front-end principles and ability to contribute to UI development when needed. Hands-on experience with AI technologies, including OpenAI or similar frameworks, and a passion for emerging tech. Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; advanced certifications in cloud or AI technologies preferred. Salary Range : $135,000–$155,000 annually (based on experience). Comprehensive Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave (as required by law), and Holidays.
Piper Companies is looking for a Full Stack Developer - Backend Focus to join a global advertising agency located in Durham, NC in a hybrid role (Tues–Thurs onsite) to design and build integrated, scalable solutions for data-driven and AI-powered applications.
Responsibilities for the Full Stack Developer - Backend Focus :
- Develop and maintain backend systems and APIs to integrate multiple platforms and ingest large-scale data for analytics and creative pipelines.
- Architect and orchestrate enterprise-grade solutions that support emerging technologies, including AI-driven applications and agentic platforms.
- Collaborate across development, operations, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions for global campaigns.
- Build prototypes for experimental projects, retrofit enterprise features, and design for scalability in cloud environments.
