Chief of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine

A distinguished healthcare system is seeking a  Section Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology  to lead a team dedicated to providing exceptional respiratory care for children. Position Overview :

The  Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology  will be responsible for developing and implementing a  strategic vision  for the division while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. This position will oversee daily  clinical, operational, and administrative  activities, including provider staffing, program development, and quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership, program expansion, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide  leadership and direction  for the pediatric pulmonology department

Oversee  clinical operations, physician staffing, and team management

Develop and implement  policies and protocols  to enhance patient care

Lead  program growth initiatives , including expanding clinical services and outreach programs

Mentor and educate  medical students, residents, and clinical staff

Participate in  quality improvement and research initiatives

Collaborate with hospital administration and other departments to  drive innovation and efficiency

Recruit and retain  top-tier clinical talent  to enhance the department’s capabilities

Qualifications :

MD or DO  with Board Certification in  Pediatric Pulmonology

Minimum of  5+ years of clinical experience  in pediatric pulmonology

At least  3 years of leadership experience  in a hospital or academic setting

Completion of an  ACGME-accredited Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship

Eligible for medical licensure in the applicable state

Demonstrated ability to  drive department growth, innovation, and quality improvements
