Sanitation Technician
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the production areas and lines. This role involves maintaining control over the microbial environment, performing preventive maintenance on sanitation equipment, and supporting the site's quality and food safety standards.
Minimum Requirements :
- 23 years of experience in sanitation or cleaning
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with safety, environmental, or quality training, and food safety
Physical Requirements :
Frequent lifting / carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing / pulling (50-200 lbs.)Frequent handling / gripping / bending / stoopingAbility to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, and lean over equipmentAbility to stand and / or work on feet for extended periodsAbility to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needsAbility to read, write, and understand EnglishAble to handle hot and cold temperature environmentsKey Responsibilities :
Perform cleaning as per the Master Cleaning and Shutdown / Start-up Cleaning SchedulesMaintain control over the microbial environment in the plant through detailed cleaning of equipment and surfaces, sanitation of high-risk areas, and management of the environmental sampling programPerform preventive maintenance on all sanitation equipmentProvide early detection of equipment degradation or malfunction throughout the plantMaintain grounds and perimeter of the plant along with roof and roof-mounted equipmentCommunicate any quality and food safety concerns to the siteCommunicate equipment and facilities defects to maintenance departmentsOther Responsibilities :
Follow all Quality and Food Safety Policies and applicable proceduresCoordinate supplies, equipment, and contractor support for plant sanitation and pest controlAssist with clean-up operations as neededHelp create new or improve existing processes for cleaning and sanitationAssist in training Technicians on proper cleaning and sanitation proceduresPerform all other duties and responsibilities as assignedTotal Rewards :
