Special Education Teacher in Warren, MI

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available at a high school in Dearborn, MI, focused on providing dedicated support to students with diverse learning needs. This full-time contract position offers approximately 20 hours per week, primarily during morning hours, serving a caseload of 19 high school students with various disabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual education plans (IEPs) for high school students.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective strategies that support student learning and development.
• Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Foster a supportive learning environment that promotes academic growth and social skills development.
• Participate in team meetings and parent conferences as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Special Education teaching credential.
• Experience working with high school students with disabilities.
• Ability to work on-site during scheduled hours.
