Location : Outpatient Behavioral Health Setting - Gaithersburg, Maryland

Schedule : Full Time (Reduced hours may be available)

Compensation : $130,000-$150,000 annually (based on experience)

Position Overview

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment within outpatient, PHP, and IOP levels of care. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, prescribing medications (including MAT), and supporting collaborative, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities (Streamlined)

• Conduct psychiatric and substance use assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
• Provide ongoing medication management, including FDA-approved Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
• Develop individualized treatment and medication plans based on patient needs.
• Monitor treatment response, adherence, and side effects.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
• Collaborate with therapists and clinical staff for integrated treatment planning.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Consult with medical / psychiatric colleagues for complex cases as needed.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
