Position Summary
The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable data solutions that enable reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making. This role focuses on building reliable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and providing technical support in a fast-paced business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Development & Engineering
- Design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
- Consolidate disparate data into unified, reliable datasets for enterprise use.
- Implement data validation, quality monitoring, and alerting processes.
- Develop and maintain data models to support reporting and analytics platforms.
- Follow established software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and technical standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define technical requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
- Participate in troubleshooting and performance optimization efforts.
Technical Support & Operations
Investigate and resolve data and system-related issues.Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative solutions.Document incidents, resolutions, and technical processes.Develop internal documentation and knowledge resources.Participate in on-call or after-hours support as needed.Leadership & Collaboration
May serve in a technical lead capacity for specific initiatives or products.Coordinate across technical teams to ensure alignment on development efforts.Provide mentorship, knowledge transfer, and code review support to team members.Professional Development
Continuously expand technical expertise through training and industry research.Apply feedback and best practices to improve solution quality and efficiency.Qualifications : Required :
3–5 years of experience developing data solutions in a business or enterprise environment.Experience with data integration, transformation, and database technologies.Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.Experience with data modeling, business intelligence tools, and enterprise data platforms.Familiarity with modern data architecture and governance principles.Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
