Summary :
Responsible for the successful management of the Human Resource department and ensuring both the Association and the employees are fairly represented.
Position Duties :
- Notify the Board of Directors and / or the Executive Director on all noncompliance issues.
- Insure the Association is in compliance with all Federal and State employment laws and regulations.
- Manage all employee benefits to include health, dental, life, disability, workers’ compensation and
supplemental insurances and renewals.
Investigate, document and answer all unemployment claimsDetermine and implement action on all EEOC claimsProvide guidance and recommendations to employees regarding work related problems and issues,including disciplinary action.
Provide Management guidance and training to Executive staffDevelop, prepare, review and revise the Association Handbook.Keep job descriptions updated.Verify all relevant vendor invoices (Health, Dental, Advertising , Drug Testing, Workers’ Comp, etc.),authorize for payment and code.
Process all 401k changes (payouts, loans, payroll deductions and plan amendments)Prepare for 5500 and assist with the 401k auditACA reporting for Medical benefitsPrepare the budget for Human Resources and SafetyInsure the annual review process and salary adjustments are processed in a timely manner.Maintain and develop performance evaluation standardsSupervise Human Resource Employee(s)Attend and participate in monthly Director and Manager’s meetingsAttend Board meetingsAdminister the Association’s Safety Program and ensure OSHA complianceRespect and preserve employee confidentialityNotify the Board of Directors and / or the Executive Director on all major incidents, problems and keydecisions.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements :
7 Years’ experience in Human ResourcesFlexible 40 hour work week or more as requiredValid Driver’s LicenseAble to give and follow oral and written instructionPhysical Demands : Walking, sitting, bending or standing for prolonged periods. Be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Sufficient strength and stamina to ensure a productive work environment within an office / meeting room and travel from site to site.
Work Environment : Typical of an office / meeting environment and commuting from site to site including
exposure to hot and cold temperatures and light to moderate noise levels. Requires performing job functions using all safety precautions and applying all SCSCAI policies and procedures.
