Are you an experienced accounting professional with a passion for crunching numbers and maintaining financial accuracy? We are seeking a Permanent Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently, with responsibilities ranging from monthly reporting to ensuring compliance with GAAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to take their career to the next level in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyze financial records and reports, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
2. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
3. Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance.
4. Prepare and file tax returns and work closely with our tax team to ensure preparation for an annual audit.
5. Liaise with internal and external auditors and manage financial audits.
6. Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
7. Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
8. Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
9. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
10. Oversee financial systems implementations and upgrades, and manage relationships with software vendors.
11. Provide guidance to junior accountants and other staff as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Senior Accountant role should have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a senior role.
3. Strong understanding and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
5. Excellent mathematical skills and an understanding of data privacy standards.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial colleagues.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
