Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary: The College of Engineering is seeking motivated graduate level students to serve as teaching assistants for the Machine Learning for Engineers course (ME 8311) in the
Spring 2026 semester. Students who desire to gain teaching experience are encouraged to apply.
Requirements: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Grade assignments and/or exams as needed
- Attend all class sessions of your assigned section, assisting faculty instructor as needed
- Provide guidance to students in class
- Coordinate with other course TAs to offer joint office hours (at least two hours per week)
Additional Information: Minimum qualifications:
- Graduate level student (PhD preferred)
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow multi-step instructions.
- Must be able to work well independently.
- Basic office skills and computer skills including MS Word & Excel.
- Ability to navigate Blackboard learning management system to access assignments and enter grades.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information.
